What is Mental Health First Aid Training?

Mental Health First Aid Training is specialised training delivered by a Mental Health First Aid Australia® Licensed Instructor which is designed to equip employees with the skills and knowledge to recognise the signs of mental illness in their colleagues, increasing the likelihood of early intervention and reducing the probability of it escalating to a more serious crisis situations.

Accreditation
Once the course is complete Mental Health First Aid Australia® will issue participants with an accreditation test. Upon successful completion an accreditation certificate will be issued to the participants. The accreditation lasts for a period of 3 years and can then be refreshed with a refresher course for an additional 3 years accreditation.
Course Delivery Options
We offer flexible MHFA course formats to suit your team’s needs, all leading to national accreditation.
Standard Mental Health First Aid (In Person)
✓ A two-day, face-to-face course covering signs, symptoms, and interventions for common mental health considerations and practical application of the eLearning materials.
Participants must attend both full days for accreditation.
Workplace MHFA - Blended (In Person)
✓ 6-7 hours of self-paced eLearning followed by a 6-hour in-person workshop focused on practical application of the eLearning materials
eLearning must be completed prior; full attendance required for accreditation.
Workplace MHFA - Blended (Online)
✓ 6-7 hours eLearning plus two 2.5-hour live online workshop focused on practical application of the eLearning materials.
In-House Delivery
✓ All formats can be delivered in-house and tailored to your business.

Implementing Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace
